I would like to be able to live in Panama in a few years, and most likely in Panama City. The most likely route for me seems to be through Friendly Nation route with a minimum investment of USD 200K.
I am doing research on pre-sale properties. I am hoping to get feedback from folks who might know the lay of the ground. I have a few questions on this.
1) Is pre-sale property pretty common in Panama?
2) I came across multiple agents who might be marketing or listing the same pre-sale property on the web. How does the realtor model work over there in Panama? Do they get a commission from the building company?
3) Are there usually techniques to getting the best deal either via discount, incentives or both when it comes to pre-sale properties?
4) I would definitely engage a real estate and immigration lawyers when I am ready to jump in. But does anyone know if pre-sale properties can be qualified to meet the requirements for the Friendly Nation visa?
I appreciate any feedback.
