Hello!

English-speaking expats, do you have recommendations for a "live-like-a-local" (not live like a tourist) rental?

I'm looking for information for a longish-term visit--a month or more to start. I will not have a car but I like using public transportation. I'd like to be within walking distance of businesses--food, entertainment, coffee shops (LIFE) and have easy access to the beach.
Or the other way around, walking distance to the beach and easy public transport to the city.

Basically, I'm looking to "live" here like a local to really check out the area for a possible move (or long visits). I'm lower/middle income and need nothing fancy.
