"Before moving to Cyprus, expats should familiarize themselves with the local language, as Greek is the official language of the country. It is also important to research the cost of living in Cyprus, as prices can vary significantly depending on the area. Expats should also be aware of the climate in Cyprus, as it is generally hot and dry in the summer and mild in the winter. Additionally, expats should research the local culture and customs, as well as the visa and residency requirements for living in Cyprus. Should I buy or rent a home in Cyprus?
If you have not spent a lot of time in Cyprus, you should rent before even thinking about buying. We asked expats there about the buy vs. rent decision:
"Buying a home in Cyprus can be a great investment, as the country has a strong economy and a growing real estate market. However, it is important to consider the costs associated with buying a home, such as the cost of the property, legal fees, and taxes. Ultimately, the decision to buy or rent a home in Cyprus should be based on your individual needs and financial situation," said one expat in Cyprus.

It is a very easy process to purchase property and the developers guide you all the way through the process. It is advisable to have a good independant Lawyer/Soliciter," said one expat who made the move to Poli Chrystopiou.
