When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Congo, they said:

"Expatriates should be aware that the Democratic Republic of Congo is a large and diverse country with a complex political and social history. It is important to research the local culture and customs before moving to Congo, as well as the current security situation. Expats should also be aware that the infrastructure in Congo is limited and that access to basic services such as electricity, water, and internet can be unreliable. It is also important to note that the cost of living in Congo is relatively high, and expats should budget accordingly. Finally, expats should ensure that they have the necessary visas and permits to live and work in Congo," said one expat who made the move to Congo.

We asked expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered:

"Finding a place to live in Congo can be a challenge, but there are a few options available. One option is to look for rental properties in the major cities such as Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, and Mbuji-Mayi. How are healthcare services Congo?

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Congo, they replied:

"Healthcare services in Congo are limited and the quality of care is generally poor. The public healthcare system is largely underfunded and understaffed, and is unable to meet the needs of the population. The majority of healthcare services are provided by private providers, which are often expensive and out of reach for many Congolese citizens. Foreign residents have limited access to the public healthcare system, and most expats in Congo rely on private healthcare providers. Expats may be able to access some public healthcare services, such as vaccinations, but they are generally not eligible for the same level of care as Congolese citizens," remarked one expat in Congo.

What are medical services in Congo like?

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Congo, they replied:

"Medical services in Congo are limited due to a lack of resources and infrastructure. The majority of medical care is provided by the government, but there are also some private clinics and hospitals. The quality of care varies greatly, with some facilities providing basic care while others offer more advanced services. In general, access to medical care is limited and the cost of treatment is often prohibitively expensive. Additionally, there is a shortage of qualified medical personnel, and many medical professionals lack the necessary training and experience to provide adequate care," commented one expat who moved to Congo.
