Generally, a nice 1 bedroom apartment can cost anywhere from $900-$1500, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment may go for anywhere from $1200 to $2000 or more, depending on the city or area. Eating at a moderately priced restaurant will usually cost around $20-$30 per person, depending on the location and type of food," mentioned an expat living in Colorado.

What type of recreational facilities are in Colorado?

When we asked people living in Colorado about recreational activities, they mentioned:

"In Colorado, residents can enjoy a variety of recreational activities, from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking and camping in the summer. There are also plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating, and rafting on the many rivers and lakes in the state. Colorado is also home to a number of golf courses, as well as numerous parks and trails for biking and running. For those looking for a more urban experience, there are plenty of shopping and dining options in the larger cities, as well as museums, art galleries, and other cultural attractions," mentioned an expat living in Colorado.

What is the weather like in Colorado?

"The weather in Colorado can vary greatly depending on the season and location. In the summer, temperatures can range from mild to hot, with occasional thunderstorms. In the winter, temperatures can range from mild to cold, with snowfall in the mountains and some of the higher elevations. Spring and fall are generally mild, with occasional rain and snow," wrote one expat living in Colorado.

Are there good restaurants in Colorado?

"One of the most popular restaurants in Colorado is The Fort, located in Morrison. The Fort is a unique restaurant that serves up classic American cuisine with a southwestern twist. The restaurant is known for its delicious steaks, wild game dishes, and award-winning wine list. The atmosphere is rustic and inviting, and the views of the Rocky Mountains are breathtaking. Another popular restaurant in Colorado is The Kitchen, located in Boulder. The Kitchen is a farm-to-table restaurant that serves up fresh, seasonal dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. The menu changes often, but always features delicious dishes like roasted chicken, pork chops, and seasonal vegetables. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the restaurant has a great selection of craft beers and wines. Finally, one of the most beloved restaurants in Colorado is Linger, located in Denver. Linger is a modern restaurant that serves up global street food with a twist. The menu features dishes like Korean fried chicken, Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches, and Indian curries. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the restaurant has an extensive selection of craft cocktails and beers," said an expat in Colorado.

Where will I buy groceries and do other shopping in Colorado?

"People living in Colorado typically buy groceries at supermarkets, such as King Soopers, Safeway, and Whole Foods. Other shopping can be done at department stores like Target and Walmart, as well as at local boutiques and specialty stores. Additionally, many people in Colorado take advantage of online shopping options, such as Amazon and Instacart," mentioned one expat inColorado.

What are the visa & residency requirements in Colorado?

"In order to obtain a visa for Colorado, a person must apply for a visa through the US Department of State. The applicant must provide relevant documentation to complete the application process, including proof of money, a proof of intent to return to the home country, required photos, and a current medical examination. To apply for residency in Colorado, an individual must first establish physical presence, provide evidence of intent to remain, show proof of financial support, and meet other qualification criteria, including proof of residency and a clean criminal record. Additionally, a non-immigrant visa holder can obtain permanent residency status in Colorado by filing an adjustment of status application. This application must be accompanied by supporting documentation such as evidence of legal status, passport, proof of family relationship, marriage or employment-based petition, police and court records, and other relevant information," commented one expat who moved to Colorado.

Healthcare costs can vary depending on the type of care needed and the provider. Generally, healthcare and health insurance in Colorado are more expensive than in other states," mentioned an expat living in Colorado.
