"People living in Mississippi typically buy groceries and do other shopping at local supermarkets, convenience stores, and department stores. Additionally, many people in Mississippi shop at farmers markets, specialty stores, and online retailers," said one expat.

What are the visa & residency requirements in Mississippi?

"To apply for a visa to enter Mississippi, applicants must meet certain requirements depending on which type of visa they wish to obtain. Generally, applicants must demonstrate that they have a valid reason for entering the state and may need to provide proof of their identification, a passport and other documents. They may also need to provide documents related to their financial information, such as a bank statement or proof of employment. They must then attend an interview with a consular or visa officer and pay the required fees. To apply for residency in Mississippi, applicants must meet certain eligibility requirements. Generally, they must have been living in the state continuously for more than 12 months and must have maintained a good moral character.
