Prices for basic necessities such as food, housing, and transportation can be expensive, and the cost of living can vary significantly depending on the area. In addition, the cost of utilities, such as electricity and water, can be quite high. Despite the high cost of living, Lebanon is still a popular destination for tourists and expats due to its rich culture and history," remarked one expat who made the move to Lebanon.

"The cost of living in Lebanon is generally high, especially in the capital city of Beirut. The cost of living in Beirut is significantly higher than in other parts of the country, due to its status as a major metropolitan area. The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Lebanon is typically around $1,000 USD per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost around $1,500 USD per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Lebanon can cost around $20 USD per person," said one expat.

What are the visa & residency requirements in Lebanon?

"In order to visit Lebanon, foreign nationals must obtain a visa prior to their arrival. The process of applying for a visa involves submitting an application form, a valid passport, two passport-sized photographs, and a fee to the nearest Lebanese embassy or consulate. Depending on the purpose of the visit, additional documents may be required.
