How are healthcare services Turkmenistan?

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Turkmenistan, they replied:

"Healthcare services in Turkmenistan are provided by both public and private institutions. The public healthcare system is largely funded by the government and is free for citizens of Turkmenistan. Foreign residents do not have access to the public healthcare system, and must rely on private healthcare services. Expats in Turkmenistan typically use private healthcare services, which are more expensive than public healthcare, but offer better quality care," commented one expat who moved to Turkmenistan.

Are healthcare and health insurance expensive in Turkmenistan?

"Healthcare and health insurance in Turkmenistan can be expensive, especially for those who are not covered by the government's social health insurance system. Private health insurance is available, but it can be costly and may not cover all medical expenses. Additionally, the cost of medical services in Turkmenistan is generally higher than in other countries, and the quality of care may not be as good. As a result, many people in Turkmenistan are unable to access the healthcare they need due to the high cost," mentioned one expat in Turkmenistan.
