How are healthcare services Moldova?

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Moldova, they replied:

"Moldova offers a range of healthcare services, including primary care, hospital care, and specialist care. The public healthcare system is funded by the government and is available to all citizens and foreign residents. The quality of public healthcare in Moldova is generally good, with modern facilities and well-trained staff. Foreign residents have access to the public healthcare system, although they may need to pay for some services. Expats in Moldova can use the public healthcare system, but they may need to pay for some services. Expats can also opt for private healthcare, which is more expensive but offers more comprehensive coverage," wrote an expat living in Moldova.

Are healthcare and health insurance expensive in Moldova?

"Healthcare and health insurance in Moldova can be expensive, especially for those who are not covered by the state health insurance system. Private health insurance is available, but it can be costly and may not cover all medical expenses. Additionally, the quality of healthcare in Moldova is not always up to the standards of other countries, and the cost of medical treatments can be high. As a result, many people in Moldova are unable to access the healthcare they need due to the cost," mentioned one expat in Moldova.
