What are the pros and cons of living in Algeria?
Expats, digital nomads and retirees living in Algeria responded:
"Expats and digital nomads living in Algeria often appreciate the country's rich culture and history, as well as its diverse landscapes and climates. They also enjoy the low cost of living, which allows them to stretch their money further. On the other hand, they may find the language barrier and lack of infrastructure to be challenging. Additionally, the country's political and social climate can be difficult to navigate, and the lack of reliable internet access can be a major obstacle for digital nomads," said one expat in Algeria.

What do expats in Algeria appreciate most about the local culture?
"Learning that I am so lucky to have the things I have. Not wasting food. Being kinder to people and not being so selfish. Taking on board that in society women and men each have a role and this is very important for marriage ( i was such an independant feminist in the past...)," said a person living in Algiers.
What do expats find most challenging?
"Being the only one from my country here. Getting people to understand my meaning behind my words. Finding someone that thinks like I do," remarked one expat in Blida.
