Expats, digital nomads and retirees living in Belarus responded:

"Expats and digital nomads living in Belarus appreciate the low cost of living, the friendly locals, and the abundance of cultural activities. They also enjoy the country's excellent public transportation system and the fact that it is easy to get around. On the other hand, some expats and digital nomads find the language barrier to be a challenge, as well as the lack of international cuisine and the limited nightlife options. What do expats find most challenging?

"Expats in Belarus often find the language barrier to be one of the most challenging aspects of the local culture. Additionally, the lack of English-speaking locals can make it difficult to navigate everyday life. Expats may also find the cultural norms and expectations to be quite different from what they are used to, which can be difficult to adjust to. Furthermore, the lack of a vibrant expat community can make it difficult to find a sense of belonging in the local culture," remarked one in Belarus.
