"The cost of renting a nice one bedroom apartment in California can vary depending on location and amenities available. Generally, prices range from around $1,000 to $2,500 per month. For a nice two bedroom apartment in California, the rent is usually higher and can range from roughly $1,500 to $3,000 per month," said one expat living in California.
What appliances are typically included in a rental?
We asked foreigners in California what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:
"In California, a typical rental home typically includes kitchen appliances such as a refrigerator, range, and dishwasher. Additional appliances often included are a clothes washer and dryer, and sometimes even items such as a microwave or a garbage disposal. Some homes may include air conditioning, central heating and a water heater as well," wrote one expat.
