"The rental price for a nice one bedroom apartment in New Jersey varies widely, depending on location and amenities. Generally, you can expect to pay between $800 and $1700 per month. For a nice two bedroom apartment, expect to spend somewhere between $1200 and $2500 a month," remarked one expat in New Jersey.

We asked foreigners in New Jersey what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"Rental properties in New Jersey usually include standard kitchen appliances such as a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and microwave. Additionally, some rentals may also include a washing machine and clothes dryer.
