The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Cyprus is usually around $20 per person.

"This is not an easy question as we all have different levels of living. We live a comfortable live on State pensions and some savings. Our budget is approx €1500.00 PM," explained one expat.
"The cost of living in Cyprus is generally considered to be quite reasonable. Prices for basic necessities such as food, transportation, and housing are generally lower than in other European countries. However, the cost of living can vary depending on the area and lifestyle. For example, living in the capital city of Nicosia is more expensive than living in a smaller town or village. Additionally, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities can be quite high," said one person in Cyprus.

Will I save money living in Cyprus?
"The cost of living like most countries goes up all the time. However we find that it is very cheap to live here. The biggest expense is the cost of Electricity,," explained one expat living in Poli Chrystopiou.
"Living in Cyprus can be more affordable than living in the United States in some areas. The cost of living in Cyprus is generally lower than in the United States, with lower prices for food, housing, and transportation. Additionally, the cost of healthcare is lower in Cyprus than in the United States. However, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities may be higher in Cyprus than in the United States," said one expat in Cyprus.
What is the average cost of housing in Cyprus?
If you are thinking about moving to Cyprus, cost of living in probably a key consideration. Expats commented about the cost of housing:
"The cost of housing in Cyprus varies depending on the location and type of property. Generally, the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment in a city centre is around €500-€700 per month, while a three-bedroom apartment in a city centre can cost up to €1,000-€1,500 per month. Outside of the city centre, the cost of housing is usually lower, with one-bedroom apartments costing around €400-€600 per month and three-bedroom apartments costing around €800-€1,000 per month," remarked one in Cyprus.
"The housing costs were slightly higher than Florida, but the housing market has changed drastically in the past 2 years. Right now in Cyprus, you could rent a 3-bedroom villa for 500 Euros a month," explained one expat.
What are typical rental prices for expats in Cyprus?
"The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Cyprus can vary depending on the location and amenities, but generally ranges from around $500 to $1,500 per month. For a nice 2 bedroom apartment, the rental price can range from around $800 to $2,500 per month," said an expat in Cyprus.
What appliances are typically included in a rental?
We asked foreigners in Cyprus what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:
"In Cyprus, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, washing machine, and air conditioning unit. Additionally, some properties may also include a dishwasher, microwave, and other small appliances," commented one expat living in Cyprus.
