Summary: The cost of living in Armenia is generally considered to be quite affordable. A nice 1 bedroom apartment in Armenia can cost anywhere from $200 to $400 per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost from $300 to $600 per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Armenia is usually around $10 to $15 per person.

"For a couple, $1,000 will do it. We are four, and we live very comfortably on $2,000, but I'm able to bank $4,000 to $8,000 a month," said one person in Yerevan.

Will I save money living in Armenia?
"I earn nearly the same as I would in the States, and without the tax burden everything is much better," said one person in Yerevan.

"The cost of a nice one bedroom apartment in Armenia can range from $250 to $365 per month, depending on the location and size of the apartment. For a nice two bedroom apartment, the cost will generally range from $400 to $550 per month, again depending on its location and size," commented one expat living in Armenia.
What appliances are typically included in a rental?
We asked foreigners in Armenia what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:
"A typical rental property in Armenia will usually include essential household appliances such as a refrigerator, washing machine and cooker. Additional appliances, such as an air conditioner and television, are usually provided by the tenant. Depending on the rental agreement, some rental property owners may also include additional kitchen appliances like a microwave, toaster and coffee maker," said one expat.
