Groceries, transportation, and utilities are all relatively inexpensive, while rent and dining out can be slightly more expensive. The average cost of renting an apartment in Belarus is usually around $200 to $400 per month, depending on the size and location. Buying a house in Belarus is also relatively inexpensive, with the average price of a two-bedroom apartment in the capital city of Minsk being around $50,000," remarked one expat in Belarus.

"The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Belarus can vary depending on the location and amenities, but generally ranges from around $400 to $800 per month. For a nice 2 bedroom apartment, the rental price can range from around $600 to $1,200 per month," commented one expat who moved to Belarus.

What appliances are typically included in a rental?

We asked foreigners in Belarus what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"In Belarus, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, and washing machine. Other common appliances may include a dishwasher, microwave, and air conditioning unit. Depending on the property, additional amenities such as a dryer, water heater, and garbage disposal may also be included," said one expat.
