Additionally, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities is also much lower in Mongolia than in the United States. As a result, living in Mongolia can be a great way to save money compared to living in the United States," explained one expat.

"The cost of housing in Mongolia varies depending on the location and type of accommodation. Generally, renting an apartment in a city center can cost anywhere from $200 to $500 per month, while renting a house in a rural area can cost around $100 to $200 per month," wrote a person living in Mongolia.

"The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Mongolia can range from around $500 to $1,000 per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can range from around $700 to $1,500 per month," wrote one expat.

"In Mongolia, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, washing machine, and air conditioner. Other common appliances may include a microwave, dishwasher, and water heater. Furniture may also be included in the rental, such as beds, couches, and tables," commented one expat living in Mongolia.
