A nice 1 bedroom apartment in Puerto Rico can cost anywhere from $500 to $1,000 per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost from $700 to $1,500 per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Puerto Rico is usually around $15 to $20 per person.

What are typical rental prices for expats in Puerto Rico?

"The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Puerto Rico can vary depending on the location and amenities, but generally ranges from around $600 to $1,200 per month. For a nice 2 bedroom apartment, the rental price can range from around $800 to $1,500 per month," wrote one expat.

We asked foreigners in Puerto Rico what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"Rental properties in Puerto Rico typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Other common appliances may include a microwave, garbage disposal, and air conditioning unit," commented one expat who moved to Puerto Rico.
