However, they may need to obtain a valid visa in order to purchase property in the state. Additionally, they may need to provide proof of funds and other documents to prove their identity and financial status," said one foreigner living in Maryland.

"In Maryland, typical rental properties include major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves/ranges, ovens, washers, and dryers. Furthermore, most rentals have dishwashers, as well as heating and cooling units. Some rentals may also include microwaves, garbage disposals, and ceiling fans," wrote one expat who made the move to Maryland.
