"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Utah. Non-U.S. citizens may purchase real estate in Utah, but they must obtain a valid visa in order to do so. Additionally, they must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Foreigners may also purchase property through a limited liability company (LLC) or other legal entity. However, they must ensure that the entity is properly registered with the state of Utah and that all applicable taxes are paid," explained one person living in Utah.
What appliances are typically included in a rental?
We asked foreigners in Utah what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:
"In Utah, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Other appliances such as microwaves, garbage disposals, and air conditioners may also be included depending on the property," explained one foreigner living in Utah.
