What do expats find most challenging?
"Expats in Cabo San Lucas often find it difficult to adjust to the local language barrier and the fact that many people speak only Spanish. Another challenge for expats is the Costa Rican culture which has a different set of social norms than the rest of Mexico, which sometimes takes time to understand and get used to. Moreover, the region has a very relaxed attitude towards time, meaning that expats may have to adjust to different levels of punctuality in daily life. Lastly, the cost of living in Cabo San Lucas is higher than other cities in Mexico and can pose a financial challenge for expats," said one person in Cabo San Lucas.
"Delays in acquiring services, internet and repairs in apartment. Dust and heavy air. Interruptions in water and power. Language. Uneven, broken sidewalks," remarked one expat in Cabo San Lucas.
