"Living in Cabo San Lucas could be significantly less expensive than living in the United States due to the lower cost of living, including groceries, utilities, rent and entertainment. Additionally, Mexico has lower taxes, including income tax and sales tax, which could mean a reduction in overall expenses. Furthermore, the Mexican Peso is generally weaker than the US Dollar, meaning even more bang for your buck when converting currencies," explained one expat.

"The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Cabo San Lucas is generally between $800 and $1500 US Dollars per month. The rental price for a nice 2 bedroom apartment in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico is typically between $1000 and $2000 US Dollars per month," mentioned one expat in Cabo San Lucas.
What appliances are typically included in a rental?
We asked foreigners in Cabo San Lucas what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:
"Rental properties in Cabo San Lucas typically include an oven, refrigerator, washing machine, and dryer. Most properties also include a microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Air conditioning is usually provided, and some properties may also feature outdoor barbecues and Jacuzzis," said one expat.
