"I found an excellent mooring for my boat on the Mar Menor free of charge, then looked for a house with in 4-5 mins walk, heaven," said one person in Los Alcazares.

"When looking for a place to live in Los Alcazares, there are several options available. You can look for rental or purchase options, or explore real estate agents in the area. Property websites such as Rightmove and Kyero can also be useful to search for properties in the area. Additionally, it can be beneficial to network with local contacts in Los Alcazares to see if they know of any properties available to rent or buy. You can also take a look at the local town hall website or local newspapers for any property listings," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Los Alcazares.

What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Los Alcazares?

"A typical expat home or apartment in Los Alcazares is typically a modern furnished apartment or home with a pool and/or garden, located within a resort-style, gated community. Generally, they have 2-3 bedrooms, one or two bathrooms, a large living area, an equipped kitchen, and a private outdoor area that overlooks the golf course or pool area. Many apartments come with balconies offering stunning views of the Mar Menor or the Mediterranean Sea. Air conditioning is usually provided as standard, as well as access to concierge services and a gym," explained one person living in Los Alcazares, Spain.

"Two bed terrace house with double garage 300m from the sea. Most expats look for 2-3 bed apartments or detached/semi-detached houses. I advise when doing business go to Spanish companies and keep away from British companies in Spain whatever you are buying," said one expat in Los Alcazares.

If you are thinking about moving to Los Alcazares, cost of living in probably a key consideration. Expats commented about the cost of housing:

"The average cost of housing in Los Alcazares varies depending on location, size and condition of the property. Generally, prices start at around €500 per month for a one-bedroom apartment, with larger properties and villas costing significantly more," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Los Alcazares.

"Lower, though prices have risen they are not as high as the U.K. around 150- 300,000€," explained one person living in Los Alcazares, Spain.

"When buying property in Los Alcazares, it is important to research the local area and the property market. It is also important to understand the legal requirements for purchasing property in Spain, such as obtaining a NIE number and a Spanish bank account. It is also important to consider the cost of living in the area, as well as the availability of local amenities and services. Additionally, it is important to consider the local climate and the potential for rental income from the property. Finally, it is important to ensure that the property is in good condition and that all necessary paperwork is in order," said one expat in Los Alcazares.

Are foreigners allowed to own property in Los Alcazares?

When we asked expats what advice they would give a foreigner before buying a property in Los Alcazares, they said...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Los Alcazares. The Spanish government has made it possible for non-residents to purchase property in Spain, and the process is relatively straightforward. Foreigners must obtain a tax identification number from the Spanish tax office, and then they can purchase property in the same way as a Spanish citizen. The only difference is that the foreign buyer must pay a 3% tax on the purchase price of the property," explained one expat in Los Alcazares.

What appliances are typically included in a rental?

"Rental properties in Los Alcazares typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, washing machine, and dishwasher. Additionally, some properties may include air conditioning, a microwave, and a television," said one expat in Los Alcazares.
