It is also important to consider the location of the property, as well as the condition of the property and any potential renovations that may be necessary. Additionally, it is important to understand the local zoning laws and regulations, as well as any potential tax implications. It is also important to consider the cost of living in the area, as well as the availability of public transportation and other amenities. Finally, it is important to work with a qualified real estate agent who can help guide you through the process," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Los Angeles.

Are foreigners allowed to own property in Los Angeles?

When we asked expats what advice they would give a foreigner before buying a property in Los Angeles, they said...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Los Angeles. Non-U.S. citizens are able to purchase real estate in the United States, including Los Angeles, as long as they have the necessary funds and meet the requirements of the U.S. government. Foreigners must obtain a valid visa and may need to obtain a tax identification number in order to purchase property. Additionally, they may need to provide proof of funds and may need to obtain a loan from a U.S. bank," said one person in Los Angeles.

What appliances are typically included in a rental?

We asked foreigners in Los Angeles what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"Rental properties in Los Angeles typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Some properties may also include a microwave, garbage disposal, and air conditioning unit," said one expat in Los Angeles.
