Many of the homes and apartments are located in gated communities, providing a sense of security and privacy. "Rental properties in Placencia typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and washing machine. Depending on the property, some may also include a dishwasher, air conditioning, and/or a clothes dryer," said one foreigner living in Placencia, Belize.
