It is also important to consider the location of the property and the surrounding infrastructure, such as access to public transportation, schools, and other amenities. 5. It is also important to consider the condition of the property and any potential renovation or repair costs that may be necessary. 6. Finally, it is important to understand the financing options available and to ensure that you have the necessary funds to complete the purchase," explained one person living in Yerevan, Armenia.

Are foreigners allowed to own property in Yerevan?

When we asked expats what advice they would give a foreigner before buying a property in Yerevan, they said...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Yerevan. The Armenian government permits foreign nationals to purchase and own real estate, including land, residential, and commercial properties. However, there are some restrictions on agricultural land ownership, which is reserved for Armenian citizens and legal entities. Foreigners can still lease agricultural land for long-term use. It is essential for foreign buyers to work with a local lawyer to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and proper registration of the property," said one foreigner living in Yerevan, Armenia.

What appliances are typically included in a rental?

We asked foreigners in Yerevan what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"In a rental property in Yerevan, tenants can typically expect to find a refrigerator, stove, oven, and washing machine. Other common appliances include a microwave, dishwasher, and air conditioning unit. Depending on the property, tenants may also find a clothes dryer, water heater, and other small appliances," explained one expat in Yerevan.
