"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Beirut. However, there are certain restrictions and regulations in place. Foreign individuals and companies can purchase property up to a certain limit, which is currently 3,000 square meters for individuals and 10,000 square meters for companies. Additionally, foreign ownership is subject to approval from the local authorities, and the property must be used for residential or commercial purposes only. In some cases, foreign owners may also be required to obtain a residency permit in Lebanon. It is important for foreigners to consult with a local real estate expert or lawyer to navigate the property ownership process in Beirut," said one foreigner living in Beirut, Lebanon.

We asked foreigners in Beirut what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:
"In Beirut, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, washing machine, and air conditioning unit. Additionally, some properties may also include a dishwasher, microwave, and/or a water heater," said one person in Beirut.
