"They are somewhat cheaper than San Antonio, Texas, where we moved from. They have, however, gone up by at least 25% since we bought in the summer of 2000," explained one person living in Montpellier, France.

Generally, renting an apartment costs between €500-800 per month, while purchasing an apartment can cost from €2,000 to €2,500 per square meter.
