Finally, you can also ask friends and family who live in Haifa for recommendations on where to look for housing," said one person in Haifa.

What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Haifa?

"Expat homes and apartments in Haifa typically feature modern amenities and are often located in the city's vibrant neighborhoods. Many expat homes and apartments offer stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the city's lush hillsides. Expat homes and apartments in Haifa are typically well-equipped with modern appliances and furnishings, and often feature balconies or terraces for outdoor living. We asked foreigners in Haifa what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"Rental properties in Haifa typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, and washing machine. Some properties may also include a dishwasher, air conditioning unit, and/or a water heater. Additionally, many rental properties come with basic furniture such as beds, couches, and tables," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Haifa.
