Expats can also find apartments with balconies or terraces, offering stunning views of the city and the surrounding mountains. These costs can add up quickly and may be higher than what you're used to. 4. Hire a lawyer - To protect your interests, it's recommended to hire a lawyer to manage the transaction process. But when it comes to agricultural land and natural resources, ownership is limited to Kazakhstani citizens and legal entities. Foreigners can still lease agricultural land for a specific period, but they cannot own it outright. It is essential for foreigners to consult with a local real estate agent or legal expert to ensure they comply with all the necessary regulations and procedures when purchasing property in Almaty," explained one person living in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
