You can also ask friends and family who live in the area for recommendations. Finally, you can look for “For Rent” signs in the area and contact the owners directly," said one person in Fahaheel.

What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Fahaheel?

"Expat homes and apartments in Fahaheel are typically modern and spacious, with large windows and balconies that offer stunning views of the city. Many of the apartments come with amenities such as air conditioning, swimming pools, and gyms. The area is known for its excellent security, with 24-hour guards and CCTV cameras. Expats can also enjoy a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shopping malls in the area," said one expat who made the move to Fahaheel.

What is the average cost of housing in Fahaheel?

If you are thinking about moving to Fahaheel, cost of living in probably a key consideration. Expats commented about the cost of housing:

"The cost of housing in Fahaheel can vary depending on the size and location of the property. Generally, the average cost of housing in Fahaheel is higher than in other parts of Kuwait due to its proximity to Kuwait City and its desirable location. Renting an apartment in Fahaheel can range from moderately priced to quite expensive, depending on the size and amenities of the property," remarked one member in Fahaheel.

Should I buy or rent a home in Fahaheel?

"Buying a home in Fahaheel is a great option for those looking to settle down in the area. The area is known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and excellent shopping and dining options. Renting a home in Fahaheel is also an option, and can be a great way to get to know the area before committing to a purchase. Ultimately, the decision to buy or rent a home in Fahaheel should be based on your individual needs and preferences," said one expat in Fahaheel.

When we asked expats what advice they would give a foreigner before buying a property in Fahaheel, they said:

"1. It is important to research the area you are looking to buy in, to ensure it is suitable for your needs. 2. Make sure to check the local laws and regulations regarding property ownership in Kuwait. 3. Consider the cost of living in Fahaheel, as well as the availability of amenities and services. 4. Be aware of the potential risks associated with buying property in Kuwait, such as political instability and the possibility of natural disasters. 5. Make sure to hire a qualified lawyer to help you with the legal aspects of the purchase. 6. Ensure that the property you are buying is in good condition and that all necessary paperwork is in order. 7. Consider the potential for rental income if you are looking to buy an investment property," said one in Fahaheel.

Are foreigners allowed to own property in Fahaheel?

When we asked expats what advice they would give a foreigner before buying a property in Fahaheel, they said...

"Foreigners are generally not allowed to own property in Kuwait, including Fahaheel. The Kuwaiti government has strict regulations that limit property ownership to Kuwaiti citizens and GCC nationals under certain conditions. However, foreigners may be able to lease or rent properties in Fahaheel, but owning property remains restricted," explained one expat in Fahaheel.

What appliances are typically included in a rental?

We asked foreigners in Fahaheel what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"In Fahaheel, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, washing machine, and air conditioning unit. Additionally, some properties may also include a dishwasher, microwave, and water heater," explained one expat in Fahaheel.
