"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Jurmala. However, there are certain restrictions for non-European Union citizens when it comes to purchasing agricultural land and forests. Non-EU citizens must obtain a permit from the local municipality to purchase such land. Apart from these restrictions, foreigners can buy residential and commercial properties in Jurmala without any major obstacles. It is advisable to consult a local real estate agent or lawyer to ensure a smooth property acquisition process," said one expat in Jurmala.
