These websites provide listings of available properties in Riga, Latvia, and can help you find the perfect place to live," said one person in Riga.

What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Riga?

"Expat homes and apartments in Riga tend to be modern and spacious, with high ceilings and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Many of the apartments are located in the city center, close to shops, restaurants, and other amenities. The interiors are often decorated with contemporary furnishings and feature modern appliances. Expats can also find a variety of rental options in the city, from luxury apartments to more affordable options," said one expat who made the move to Riga.

We asked foreigners in Riga what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"Rental properties in Riga typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, washing machine, and dishwasher. Other common appliances may include a microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Depending on the property, some may also include a clothes dryer," said one in Riga.
