What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Tashkent?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Tashkent about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"It is important to research the medical facilities available in Tashkent before having a baby there. Make sure to find a doctor or midwife who speaks your language and is familiar with the local medical system. It is also important to be aware of the cultural norms and expectations surrounding childbirth in Uzbekistan. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the laws and regulations regarding the registration of a baby born in Tashkent. Finally, it is important to build a support network of family and friends who can provide assistance and advice during the pregnancy and after the baby is born," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
