Consider hiring a doula or midwife to provide additional support during the birthing process. 3. Take advantage of the many resources available to new parents in the area, such as parenting classes, support groups, and lactation consultants. 4. Make sure to apply for a birth certificate and social security number for your baby as soon as possible. 5.
