What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Xi'an?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Xi'an about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"When expecting a baby in Xi'an, it is important to research the different medical care options available, as well as any local support groups that may be helpful. If a foreign doctor is desired, it is also important to confirm if their insurance will cover expenses. Also, registering your child with the local public security bureau should be done as soon as possible, as this will allow your child to access local public services. Finally, if needed, be sure to explore language and culture classes that can help your child integrate into the local community," remarked another expat in Xi'an, China, China.
