Fourthly, make sure you understand the legal requirements for registering the birth and getting a passport for your baby. This can be a complex process, especially if you're not fluent in Spanish, so it might be worth getting professional help. Fifthly, consider the practicalities of raising a baby in Puerto Viejo. This is a small town with limited resources, so you might need to travel to a larger city to buy certain baby supplies. Lastly, connect with other expat families in the area.
