"It is important to research the medical facilities in Quepos before having a baby there. Make sure to find a doctor or midwife who is experienced in delivering babies in the area. It is also important to make sure that the medical facility is well-equipped and has the necessary supplies and equipment for a safe delivery. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the cultural norms and expectations surrounding childbirth in Costa Rica, and to be prepared for any potential language barriers. Finally, it is important to be aware of the laws and regulations surrounding childbirth in Costa Rica, and to make sure that all necessary paperwork is in order before the baby is born," remarked another expat who made the move to Quepos, Costa Rica.
