Fourthly, make sure you understand the legal requirements for registering your baby's birth and obtaining a passport. This can be a complex process, especially if you're not fluent in Spanish. Fifthly, consider the cost of having a baby in Costa Rica. While healthcare is generally affordable, there may be additional costs for things like prenatal vitamins, ultrasounds, and childbirth classes. Lastly, connect with other expat parents in Playa Panama. They can provide invaluable advice and support, and may be able to recommend specific doctors, hospitals, or services.
