Learn some basic Spanish medical terms or consider hiring a translator for your doctor's appointments if you're not fluent in Spanish. Communication is key when it comes to your health and your baby's health. Consider the option of traveling back to your home country for the delivery if you are not comfortable with the medical facilities or services in Apaneca. Prepare for the baby's citizenship and passport issues. A child born in El Salvador to foreign parents is not automatically granted Salvadoran citizenship, so you'll need to register the birth with your home country's embassy or consulate.
