This should include coverage for any potential complications or emergencies that may arise during pregnancy, childbirth, or postnatal care. Thirdly, consider hiring a local doula or midwife who is familiar with the local customs and healthcare system. They can provide invaluable support and guidance throughout the pregnancy and childbirth process. Fourthly, it's important to be aware of the local customs and traditions surrounding childbirth in Fiji. Respect for these traditions can help to ensure a smooth and positive experience. Fifthly, make sure to have all necessary documents in order. This includes ensuring that your visas are up to date and that you have all the necessary paperwork for the baby's birth certificate and passport. Lastly, it's important to have a strong support network in place. This can include other expats who have had babies in Fiji, local friends and family, or online support groups.
