What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Paris?
We asked expat moms who gave birth in Paris about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...
"One piece of advice for expectant parents planning to have a baby in Paris is to ensure that you have all of the necessary documents and paperwork in order. Being well informed about the healthcare regulations and systems in Paris is important, as well as being familiar with the types of healthcare available in the city. It is also advisable to research resources nearby such as birthing centers, lactation support, and post-natal care services. Additionally, be sure to discuss with your doctor prior to delivery to understand the birthing process in France, as well as any medical protocols that may be unique to the country. Finally, take some time to become familiar with the city, so you know where the pharmacies, hospitals and essential services are located," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Paris, France, France.
"Register early!!!! Even if you aren't sure where to give birth, at least register somewhere so that you have a spot held for you," commented one expat who made the move to Paris, France.
