They can also help you navigate the healthcare system and communicate with medical professionals if language is a barrier. Fourthly, be prepared for the weather. Vestmannaeyjar, like the rest of Iceland, can be very cold and windy, especially in winter. Make sure you have appropriate clothing for your baby. Fifthly, it's important to understand the parental leave policies in Iceland. Both parents are entitled to leave and benefits, which is quite generous compared to other countries.
