"It is important to research the best hospitals and medical facilities in Montego Bay before having a baby. Make sure to find a doctor or midwife who is experienced in delivering babies in Jamaica and who speaks English. It is also important to be aware of the cultural differences in childbirth and postpartum care in Jamaica. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the laws and regulations regarding birth certificates and other legal documents for newborns in Jamaica. Finally, it is important to be prepared for the cost of having a baby in Jamaica, as it can be more expensive than in other countries," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
