However, language can be a barrier, so it's advisable to find a hospital or clinic with English-speaking staff. Secondly, consider hiring a doula or birth coach who can provide emotional support and help navigate the healthcare system. They can also assist with communication between you and the medical staff. Thirdly, be aware of the cultural differences in prenatal and postnatal care. In Korea, it's common for new mothers to stay in a postpartum care center, known as 'joripwon', for a week or two after giving birth. These centers provide round-the-clock care for the mother and baby, including meals, baby care, and postnatal treatments. Fourthly, make sure to understand the legal procedures for registering the birth of your child. The process may vary depending on your nationality and the nationality of your child. Lastly, connect with other expat parents in Ulsan. They can provide valuable advice and support, and may be able to recommend specific doctors, hospitals, or services. There are several online forums and social media groups where you can connect with other expat parents," wrote a member who made the move to Ulsan, Korea.
