What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Queretaro?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Queretaro about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"When planning for your baby's arrival, start researching as soon as possible into the various healthcare services available in Querétaro and be sure to visit a local clinic for prenatal care. Additionally, it is important to learn about the maternity leave policies in Mexico and how to navigate the process of obtaining the necessary documents such as a birth certificate and social security number for your baby. Additionally, consider joining an expat support group or attending a prenatal class to connect with other expats who may be in a similar situation. Finally, make sure to bring any supplies that you may need from your home country in advance since they may not always be easily available in Querétaro," remarked another expat in Queretaro, Mexico.
