Consider arranging a consultation with a local doctor ahead of time, as it is important to have an understanding of the laws and hospital practices applicable in Tijuana. 3. Prepare in advance, making sure that your passport, visa, and other necessary paperwork are all in order before the due date. 4. Ask your friends and family for help with your prenatal care. If possible, arrange for them to accompany you to doctor’s appointments in order to ask questions and translate if needed. 5. Make sure to look into food, accommodation, and transport options ahead of time, as availability can vary in Tijuana. 6. Have a plan for how to travel safely to and from the hospital for your delivery. 7. Familiarize yourself with the local medical insurance and maternity leave policies, so you know what to expect after the baby arrives. 8.
