When eating, use your right hand as the left hand is considered unclean. Avoid raising your voice or showing anger in public, as Cambodians value maintaining harmony and face. Do not take photographs of people without their permission, especially monks and children. It's also important to be respectful when discussing the Khmer Rouge period, as it's a sensitive topic for many Cambodians. Avoid giving money to child beggars, as it encourages a cycle of dependency and often supports exploitative practices. Instead, consider donating to a reputable local charity.
