Salvadorans take pride in their beautiful natural landscapes and expect visitors to do the same. Avoid making negative comments about the country or comparing it unfavorably to other countries. Salvadorans are proud of their country and its culture. Do not refuse food or drink offered to you, as it can be seen as rude. Salvadorans are known for their hospitality and it's common to offer food or drink to guests. Avoid being overly loud or boisterous in public places. Salvadorans value respect and politeness, and being too loud can be seen as disrespectful. Do not take photos of people without their permission. This is considered rude and invasive. Avoid public displays of affection. Salvadoran culture is quite conservative, and public displays of affection are generally frowned upon. Do not arrive on time for social events.
