However, avoid giving even numbers of flowers as they are considered bad luck and are usually brought to funerals. Hungarians are also very proud of their history and culture, so avoid making negative comments or jokes about the country's past or its national symbols. When dining, it's considered rude to start eating before everyone has been served. Also, keep your hands on the table (but not your elbows), and your napkin on your lap.
